Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Victoria

Yvonne Hedges Memorial Championship Show

Saturday 7th June 2008

JUDGE: Mr John Scanlan (Pantycelyn) UK

I would like to thank the committee and members for giving me the opportunity to Judge the Staffordshire bull terrier club of Victoria Championship Show. I know that several exhibitors traveled many miles for this show.  I thank everyone that entered under me and appreciate the sporting way you accepted my decisions.  On a personal note I would like to thank Tony and Celeste Trimble and David and Julie Cartlidge of the Santlin Skye Terriers for their hospitality during my stay.  If I may be permitted to give a general opinion I found the quality of Stafford’s good, having said that there were some exhibits carrying far too much weight that needed to be fitter.  Attention needs to be paid to mouths as some have very tight canines.  I also found spayed feet with very long nails.
